“This book is not only the result of Victor Țvircun’s labor. It is the consequence of 25 years of friendly and fruitful relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Moldova,” said the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova, Turki bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, in an official message. – Diplomatic relations between our countries were officially established on June 13, 1997. Since then, in all fields of bilateral interaction – political, economic, cultural, educational, etc. – they have been developing dynamically and on the basis of mutual benefit. The Republic of Moldova opened in Qatar the first embassy in the Arab world. In its turn, the embassy of the State of Qatar is the only one of the Arab countries accredited in Chisinau. This shows our mutual interest in the development of relations, the long way we have already traveled. Victor Țvircun reflected in his book all this way and showed the importance of ties between our countries for the citizens, for our future”.
The presentation aroused wide interest among state and public figures, diplomats and scientific community. Former MFAEI head Andrei Stratan noted that he was at the presentation of many books by Victor Țvircun, but this one is special. “It is a meticulous work, reflecting a whole milestone in the history of Moldovan diplomacy.”
The book was published with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the State of Qatar and the informational assistance of the Foreign Ministry and the Embassy of this country in Chisinau.
