The Department of Education, Youth, and Sports emphasizes that the enrollment process is being conducted transparently and efficiently, in strict accordance with the regulatory framework and the approved plan. A total of 351 classes for 10,012 students were planned to open in the municipality’s 122 public schools for the current school year.

Among the enrolled children are 238 refugees from Ukraine, who have been successfully integrated into the municipal education system. In addition, another 916 children were enrolled in private schools. At present, approximately 85% of the enrollment plan has been fulfilled: there are 1,522 open spots remaining in public schools and 153 in private schools.

Up-to-date information on available spots can be found on the official website of the General Directorate of Education, Youth, and Sports, as well as on the escoala.chisinau.md platform.

Authorities assure that between August 20 and 30, the situation of every child who has not yet been enrolled will be carefully reviewed to find the best solution in the interests of the family and the student.
