The list of projects was approved at a government meeting.
The “DAR 1+3” program is a mechanism for cooperation between the government, local public authorities, the diaspora, and development partners. It provides for the mobilization of financial resources to implement projects of public interest. The state’s contribution to each project is up to 350,000 lei, while local authorities and the diaspora must each provide at least 10% of the total project cost.
The selected projects include the modernization and development of local infrastructure, the expansion of street lighting systems, the implementation of energy efficiency measures, the procurement of equipment, the renovation of educational and cultural institutions, as well as the development of water supply and sewerage networks.
For example, in the commune of Gangura, the water supply infrastructure will be modernized; photovoltaic systems will be installed in the villages of Kerbuuna and Kapaklia to power artesian wells, and a biomass boiler room will be built for the gymnasium in the village of Jamen.
In addition, solar panels will be installed on the roof of the “Prichindel” kindergarten in Sipoten, and in the settlements of Filipeni, Dărcăuți, Prepelita, and Vadul-lui-Isaac, local roads and access roads will be repaired.
A number of projects are aimed at developing public spaces and improving accessibility to facilities. Specifically, a safe access road to the House of Culture will be built in Pelinia, the village library in Puhoi will be repaired, and a mini-soccer field will be constructed in the village of Choara.
The DAR 1+3 program is implemented by the Bureau for Diaspora Relations and aims to strengthen cooperation between the government and citizens living abroad. It enables local authorities to implement development projects in partnership with diaspora associations, associations of natives of specific localities, and initiative groups of citizens living abroad or who have returned to Moldova.
