This week, a set of measures for organizing and monitoring the recreation of children and teenagers during the summer season was approved, which also provides for state funding.
The Cabinet of Ministers specifies that the state budget will cover the costs of 25 percent of the vouchers. The rest of the vouchers will be sold by local authorities at an 80% discount.
Free vacation is designed for children without parental care, as well as for children from disadvantaged and large families. The same vouchers will be given to children of war veterans, disabled people, refugees and students who are successful in their studies or winners of school Olympiads.
In addition, the Ministry of Education will purchase about 500 more vouchers for pupils from schools in the eastern Moldovan and Transnistrian regions, subordinated to the Ministry.
It should be noted that in 2025, the cost of one day of recreation varies from 300 to 458 lei, depending on the type of camp.
