This was reported by the National Bureau of Grape and Wine, noting that after the successful presentation of Moldovan wines in Utrecht, they were widely presented at another 3-day festival Het Wijn Festijn, which took place from August 8 to 10 in the heart of The Hague, on the historic avenue Lange Vorhout.
Almost 4000 visitors discovered Moldovan wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. At the same time, the public favored more light and fresh wines. The favorites were Feteasca Albă, Feteasca Regală, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, while Chardonnay with vanilla and butter notes was universally liked. Among red wines, the most popular were Rara Neagră, Feteasca Neagră and Pinot Noir, as well as blends with local varieties.
As noted, the Wine of Moldova stand was also visited by the general director of IKEA Netherlands, who came specially to learn about Moldovan wines and their history.
