This strategic partnership capitalizes on Pakistan’s location at the crossroads of Central Asia, Indonesia’s leading role in ASEAN, and Romania’s position as the EU’s gateway to the Black Sea region and emerging markets, according to nation.com.pk.

During the conversation, Farooqi expressed his deep gratitude to Dr. Dan Stoenescu, Romania’s Ambassador to Pakistan, for his outstanding contribution to the conclusion of the landmark Memorandum of Understanding between the Karachi Port Authority and the Port of Constanta.

Farooqi particularly emphasized that Dr. Stoenescu’s tireless efforts and diplomatic leadership played a decisive role in establishing maritime ties between Pakistan and Romania, creating a vital trade artery connecting South Asia with Europe.

The trilateral dialogue focused on increasing trade volumes in agriculture, energy, manufacturing, and technology, as well as on developing a long-term roadmap for cooperation with measurable results for all three countries.

The successful meeting lays the groundwork for deeper cooperation, as Romania strengthens the EU’s ties with Asia, Pakistan develops as a trade hub for South and Central Asia, and Indonesia serves as a driving force for the Southeast Asian economy.
