New conditions for wheat exports from Moldova to Indonesia include a number of general and specific requirements related to phytosanitary certification, conditions of finalization and transportation, as well as measures to prevent phytosanitary risks.
In particular, wheat consignments exported to Indonesia must:
- continue to be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), but with additional declarations and electronic notifications issued by ANSA;
- come from ANSA-registered export enterprises;
- be free of pests and contaminants, including soil, weeds or plant residues;
- be subject to pre-processing in accordance with programs established by the Indonesian side;
The new requirements also include a list of pests subject to phytosanitary control. The Indonesian authorities will conduct mandatory inspections of delivered grain at designated entry points approved by the Indonesian competent authority.
MAIA recommends that all exporters carefully read the new regulations and cooperate with the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) to ensure compliance with the phytosanitary requirements set by the Indonesian side.
