After the deterioration of the theater’s condition in the 1990s, the Chisinau City Hall took measures to restore it. In 2022, the city administration initiated the reconstruction of the concert and entertainment complex. Since 2023, the Green Theater has once again become an important cultural space of the capital.
“We intend to further develop this facility, which is a visiting card of Chisinau,” says the capital’s mayor Ion Ceban. – This year, we will continue the modernization of the complex, as it is one of the largest open-air theaters.
– “Green Theatre” can accommodate up to 10,000 spectators, and we are preparing it to organize performances and concerts for Chisinau residents and guests of the capital in better conditions”.
This involves renovating the stage, painting the seats, installing an irrigation system and improving green areas, access roads and parking lots, as well as facilities for artists.
In addition, the mayor’s office intends to organize the work of public transport in the city in such a way that it would be easier for those wishing to get to the “Green Theatre” during cultural events.
