Gas imports from Romania approaching maximum level

Such a volume of gas transit has not been recorded since the end of last winter. The last time Romania exported more than 60 GWh/day to Moldova was on March 22, when 60.7 GWh was delivered. And during the coldest time during several days in February, we imported gas at the maximum capacity of 64.5 GWh/day.

Moldova’s annual gas demand is estimated at one billion cubic meters, which is about 10.5 TWh.

Gas supplies from Romania rose sharply earlier this week to 4.5 million cubic meters per day, up from 3 million cubic meters a week earlier.
