
Mental health services include medical consultation for patient assessment, prevention and early detection of disorders, psychosocial rehabilitation for socio-professional and family integration, and family and community support and accompaniment for people with mental disorders.
In addition, youth-friendly centers provided last year more than 100 thousand consultations with specialist doctors and more than 13 thousand mobile services. For these purposes, the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) allocated over 48 million lei, 5 million more than in 2024.
According to the NCMS, a total of over 138 million lei was allocated for home medical services in 2025.
About 80 thousand home health care visits – more than 10 thousand more than in 2024 – were covered by compulsory health insurance. 24.6 million lei were allocated for this purpose, which is 4 million more than a year earlier. Home care is provided to patients with limited mobility and a high level of dependence on external assistance.
In 2025, NCMS has concluded contracts with 128 providers of home care services, 40 providers of public mental health services and 41 centers providing youth friendly services.
