
As noted in the department’s report, the training was aimed at strengthening professional skills and developing practical skills necessary for the effective use of modern customs control systems in the work.
During the training, the participants deepened their knowledge of methods for analyzing and interpreting images obtained with scanning equipment, which is an important aspect for identifying risks, detecting violations and optimizing the customs control process.
The course program included topics related to the handling of X-ray scanning equipment, basic methods of analyzing scanned images, general principles of radiation protection, and the role and responsibilities of X-ray machine operators in Customs control.
The practical part of the training took place at the Leuseni and Tudor customs posts, where customs officers participated in training sessions on scanning systems and simulations aimed at identifying suspicious goods and managing situations specific to operational activities.
