
As noted in the message of the Customs Service, customs officers of Leusheni together with border police conducted a specialized inspection of the minibus Mercedes Sprinter, traveling from Germany, with 8 passengers on board.
During the customs control, the driver and passengers stated that they had no goods subject to declaration.
However, in one of the luggage items, hidden among personal belongings, were found commemorative coins, jewelry and other items of precious metals and stones, presumably having historical and numismatic value, not declared by customs authorities. The goods belonged to a 38-year-old non-resident.
As a result, the goods were seized and sent for examination, the case was documented, the investigation is ongoing.
