Customs collected a billion

In the period of May 4-10, 2026, the Customs Service's revenues to the state budget amounted to 1.0 billion lei, which constitutes the fulfillment of the benchmark of 107.1% for the reporting period.

Cash receipts to the budget

Since the beginning of the current year, the Customs Service has collected about 14.3 billion lei in the state budget, which is 103.2 per cent of the control indicator.

In 2025, the Moldovan Customs Service will transfer more than 41.15 billion lei to the state budget. This is by 2.87 billion lei more than in 2024, ensuring an increase in revenues. Weekly collections during the year averaged 800 million lei.

At the same time, in the period from May 4 to May 10, 2026, individuals imported goods whose value at customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, collecting payments of about 24.5 million lei, accounting for 2.4% of the total amount collected during the corresponding period.

The funds collected from taxpayers go directly to the state budget and are redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.

In addition, 12,369 customs declarations were processed during the past week, and the flow of vehicles amounted to 74,504 border crossings. The busiest customs points remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 14,727 and 13,347 crossings, respectively.
