
As a result of voting, independent candidate Ramiz Ansarov received the support of 57.88% of voters, gaining 4,681 votes.
“Ramiz Ansarov’s victory is an important political achievement and a well-deserved recognition of his many years of public activity, principled civic position and sincere desire to serve people. We are proud that our colleague and vice-chairman of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova managed to win the trust of the majority of citizens and achieve such a significant result,” KAM said in a statement.
The Azerbaijani agency AZERTAC reports that the Ansarov family came from Western Azerbaijan. Subsequently, the family moved to Baku. Ramiz Ansarov himself was born on April 12, 1987 in Kishinev. He is a father of four sons, takes an active part in the socio-political life of Moldova. As vice-chairman of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova, he also contributes to the development of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
