Based on the results of the inspections, it was determined that the product does not “meet the specific requirements for the quality and sale of potatoes established by Government Decree No. 2016.” According to this document, “…potatoes must be: whole, sound, clean, and free of external or internal defects that affect the product’s overall appearance, quality, and presentation in the packaging…,” the ANSA report states.

The agency once again reminds economic operators engaged in commercial activities that compliance with legal requirements regarding the quality and sale of agri-food products is mandatory, and any violation will result in sanctions.
