Specialized institutions at central and local levels, (museums, houses of culture, etc.), non-governmental organizations and local initiative groups (LIGs) can apply.

Local authorities and communities that propose cultural initiatives with a local impact will also be able to apply for funding.

Support is also available to individuals. For them, cultural, managerial or administrative experience will be an important prerequisite.

However, a cultural event can be organized by several participants if it is complex or takes place in several localities.

The total budget of the program, allocated for 2026, amounts to 15 million lei. It is worth mentioning that last year the amount granted was much higher – 50 million lei.

The projects will be financed from various fields, such as literature, theater, music, visual arts, cinematography, traditional crafts and the development of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

Culture Minister Cristian Jardan encouraged potential beneficiaries to submit projects planned for implementation starting from July this year. Documents can be submitted within 15 days of the call for proposals, either online or physically.
