Eyewitnesses reported a loud bang and debris falling onto the streets. According to Reuters, at least two sections of glass panels on the upper floors of the building have been damaged. There is also a large police, fire, and ambulance presence at the scene.
CNN reports that a Sunward SA60L Aurora light aircraft may have been involved in the incident, though there is no official confirmation of the aircraft type yet.
For its part, The New York Times reports that large pieces of the aircraft and construction debris may have fallen onto the street following the impact. One eyewitness reported seeing a woman with a head injury who was taken away by an ambulance, though no official information on casualties has been provided.
The cause of the incident has not yet been determined. Chinese authorities have not officially commented on the incident.
