Reports have circulated in the media that Iran could gain access to a recovery fund of up to $300 billion if it gives up its uranium reserves, according to err.ee.

Speaking at the G7 summit alongside the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Trump stated that the U.S. is not offering Iran direct financial support in exchange for a deal on its nuclear program.

Trump also warned that Iran would face extremely severe consequences if it developed or acquired nuclear weapons and violated the recently concluded peace agreement. At the same time, Trump stated that he does not support regime change in Iran.

“I don’t believe in regime change; I’ve been watching them for many years. It never works,” Trump said.

Trump also stated that without him and without the support of the United States, Israel would not have been able to survive as a state. In addition, he noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must behave more responsibly toward Lebanon.

Trump described Lebanon as a once-prosperous country that was home to many professors, doctors, and lawyers. In his view, the country is currently in a very dire situation, and Lebanon is among the nations most severely affected by the conflicts in the Middle East.
