The ADMA Agency Reports an Increase in Funding for Farmers

In May 2026, the Agency for the Development and Modernization of Agriculture (ADMA) allocated funding to support investments by 56 farmers. The total value of the contracts amounted to approximately 62 million lei. By comparison, in May 2025, 34 beneficiaries received funding totaling about 23 million lei. Most of the funds were allocated for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment.

The data shows that the number of farmers receiving financial support has increased by approximately 65%. Meanwhile, the value of the relevant contracts has risen by nearly 170%. Thus, access to financial instruments managed by ADMA is expanding, and investments made by farmers have a higher average value compared to the same period last year, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA).

An important indicator is the average amount of ADMA financing per recipient of these funds. In May 2026, it amounted to approximately 1.11 million (0.68 million lei in May 2025). The increase in the average amount of funding per client corresponds to the expansion of investments in Moldova’s agriculture and the broader use of financial instruments for agribusiness development, according to the MAIA Ministry.
