
Non-food goods saw the most significant price increases over the past year (compared to May 2025). On an annual basis, average prices for food rose by 5.7%, for non-food goods by 7.2%, and for services provided to the public by 7.5%.
The NBS also provides a breakdown of price increases by category. Over the past year, the most significant increases were recorded for eggs—up 36.2%, vegetables—up 17.9%, wheat flour bread—by 6.6%, milk and dairy products—by 4.3%, fruits—by 4.1%, meat, meat products, and canned goods—by 2.5%, and vegetable oil—by 2.3%. Meanwhile, sugar prices fell by approximately 4.1%.
In the non-food goods segment, average consumer prices rose by approximately 7.2% compared to May 2025. The most significant increase was recorded for fuel—up 26.6% (including diesel fuel—up 60.1%, gasoline—by 36.5%, and liquefied gas—by 14.0%), footwear and clothing—by 4.5%, construction materials—by 4.3%, and medicines—by 3.2%.
In the sector of services provided to the public, average consumer prices have risen by 7.5% over the past 12 months. The most significant increases compared to May 2025 were recorded in passenger transportation—by 31.5%, electricity supply—by 15.2%, water supply and sewerage—by 11.3%, and food services—by 10.3%.
At the same time, compared to May of the previous year, regulated tariffs for electricity services decreased by 17.0%, and for natural gas—by 13.9%.
