Investment risk index

The Global Investment Risk and Resilience Index (GIRRI) is compiled by Henley&Partners, a company known for promoting citizenship-by-investment programs.

The index evaluates countries in two key areas.

Risk factors measure a country’s vulnerability to threats: geopolitical tensions and economic instability.

Resilience assesses the ability of the state and society to absorb economic shocks, adapt to abrupt changes and protect investment capital.

The first place in the ranking is traditionally occupied by neutral Switzerland. Germany is in 8th place, the US in 24th. China is in 31st place.

For some reason there is no data for Romania either this year or last year. Russia is in 71st place (69th a year ago), Ukraine is in 131st place (103rd last year).

In total, there are 150 countries on the list.
