The tariff is effective from May 29, 2026 – the date of official publication of the Order of the National Agency for Road Transport (NAAT).

Recall that the Methodology for calculating tariffs for road transportation of passengers on regular routes in inter-district and district communication has been in effect since March 1 of this year.

The marginal tariff is adjusted annually, based on the average price of diesel fuel for the previous period. According to the legislation, it is determined by June 1.

The Agency approves the values of its components to be used in tariff calculation, and district councils approve the correction coefficients.

This year, 40 components were taken into account in determining the tariff, as specified in the annex to the order of the NAAT. It specifies for economic entities the sources of information, calculation base and references for determining the values of the components.

When calculating the tariff, the profitability of a conditional route – 15%, the norm of fuel consumption per 100 km – 13.5 liters, the average price of fuel – 19.87 lei, the share of taxes attributed to expenses – 10%, etc. were taken into account.
