The project of entering the Ukrainian market is divided into several stages. At the first stage, Ukrainian users will be given the opportunity to buy goods from Polish sellers on Allegro with delivery to Ukraine. The launch is scheduled for June, at the initial stage several hundred Polish sellers will join the program. Allegro claims to be “preparing a limited group of Polish partners for international exports,” which will provide access to a market with approximately 11.5 million active e-commerce users. This is reported by Polish industry publication Wiadomosci Handlowe.

Meanwhile, the publication’s sources claim that in the future Allegro plans to develop the domain Allegro.ua and open the platform for Ukrainian sellers. The integration may take place as early as next year.

According to Wiadomosci Handlowe, the Polish company intends to enter the Ukrainian market gradually, testing demand and minimizing risks after the failed experience of expansion into certain international markets.

“Parcels from Polish sellers will be delivered to customers from Ukraine via Nova Post (“Novaya Pochta”). It is a Ukrainian e-commerce market leader with a stronger position on the domestic market than the one InPost has in Poland,” the publication said.

Nova Post has been developing also in our country for several years, focusing mainly on parcel delivery from/to Ukraine.

We observe a clear trend of growth in cross-border e-commerce and increased interest from foreign customers, particularly from Ukraine,” the company said.
