In the last week and a half, CriRo could have been a triumphant player twice – to win the Saudi Arabian championship ahead of schedule against Al-Hilal and to win the Asian Champions League 2 home final against Gamba Osaka of Japan. But in the first, Al-Nasr conceded in the final minutes and drew the game, which postponed the championship, while Ronaldo’s club lost the second match.

In this context, the match against Damak on May 21 was significant – a victory in their home stadium ensured Al Nasr the championship title. And Cristiano Ronaldo did not miss his chance this time. He scored two goals and brought a 4-1 victory to the hosts.

Thus, the 41-year-old Portuguese won the 8th national title in his career and the first in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo went to the awarding ceremony with tears in his eyes and in a jersey with the inscription “Knight Ronaldo” on the back.
