In particular, the procedure currently in force in cases when a car is exported by a person other than the one who imported it to Moldova will be improved. The respective amendments to the Customs Code and Contravention Code were published and entered into force on May 9 this year.
At the moment the norm is used, which allows to export a vehicle only to the person who imported it into the Republic. This provokes various complicated situations because the person who imported the vehicle may not be able, for various reasons, to take it out of the customs territory of the Republic of Moldova.
As a result, the car may be blocked for a long time, which creates risks of exceeding the deadlines for its export and applying sanctions to the person who brought it to Moldova. It is assumed that the abolition of this restriction will prevent such situations.
