Moreover, Izomer was included in the category “Enterprises recommended for immediate privatization”. As the agency explains, this decision is explained by the fact that the company operates in a competitive market and does not fall under other categories established by the selection mechanism.
The state-owned enterprise “Izomer” has not carried out operating activities for the last 3 fiscal years. According to the data for 2024, the value of its assets was close to 108 thousand lei, most of which are represented by low-value objects, while the authorized capital did not exceed about 520 thousand lei.
Even in the last years of its activity, the company recorded modest revenues of about 80-100 thousand lei per year. At the same time, its losses in 2020, for example, significantly exceeded the income, reaching 150 thousand lei.
The explanatory note to the project emphasizes that the enterprise does not have functional production capacities, does not generate sustainable income and has no real prospects of recovery if it is kept in state ownership. Therefore, keeping it on the state’s balance sheet is economically inexpedient and inefficient.
It seems that privatization will make it possible to capitalize the existing assets, attract private investment and, possibly, restart economic activity under new market conditions.
