Canada has allocated 60 thousand dollars to renovate sanitary blocks at the lyceum in Balti

With the support of the Government of Canada, local authorities from Balti municipality will modernize sanitary blocks at the Maxim Gorky Theoretical Lyceum. The total cost of the project is 80 thousand Canadian dollars (over one million lei). Up to 60 thousand Canadian dollars (about 760 thousand lei) is provided by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives program, and the rest of the sum is invested by the local authorities of the "northern capital".

Representatives of the Canadian Embassy in Moldova visited the educational institution on March 12 to get acquainted with the progress of works and to discuss with the municipal authorities the parameters of further cooperation, reports esp.md.

The project will renovate and modernize five sanitary blocks, including making them inclusive for people with disabilities.

Representatives of the Embassy and the local administration discussed the possibilities of further cooperation and continuation of partnership in the field of sustainable and inclusive development of educational infrastructure in the municipality.
