The head of the city’s military administration, Serhiy Lysak, said that as a result of the shelling, part of the city was left without electricity, water and heat supply. Due to falling debris from downed drones and direct hits, the facades and glazing of several multi-storey residential buildings, as well as civilian cars, were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the buildings.
Part of the drone attack occurred in Odessa Region, where warehouses of a logistics company caught fire in one of the settlements.
Note that in December 2025 Russia continued regular strikes on energy and port infrastructure in the region. Local authorities reported attacks on Odessa and Odessa Region on December 30, 25 and 23.
The most massive strikes on the region’s port infrastructure occurred on Friday, December 19. As a result, eight people were killed and 27 others were injured. According to the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, Russia used ballistic missiles during this attack.
Together, the strikes on Odessa and Odessa Region in December 2025 were one of the largest attacks on the region since the start of hostilities in Ukraine.
