The Social Security Agreement between Moldova and Canada was published and entered into force. According to the document, Moldovan citizens will be able to receive retirement pensions, disability pensions due to general illness, pensions and disability benefits due to an industrial accident or occupational disease, as well as survivor pensions and other benefits established in accordance with the provisions of the approved agreement.
Moldova has already concluded social security agreements with 20 states, 18 of which have entered into force and are being applied. These are agreements with Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Luxembourg, Austria, Estonia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Germany, Turkey, Belarus, Italy, Greece, Spain and Latvia.
