
Chisinau City Hall reported that the decision was taken on November 11 by the Program Coordinating Council.
Out of 44 projects submitted, 35 were analyzed and 27 were approved for financing. The total amount of the approved grants is 5.2 million lei, while the total amount of the expected investments in the municipality’s economy is 22.3 million lei. As a result of the implementation of the financed projects, 188 new jobs will be created.
The approved projects cover a wide range of fields: food industry and artisanal production, HoReCa and local production of confectionery, information technologies and digital platforms, design services, marketing, accounting and artificial intelligence solutions.
The goal of the program is to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people and migrants in Chisinau by facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses and supporting job creation. Young people wishing to create or develop a business have the opportunity to access the necessary financial resources in the form of grant support of up to 200 thousand lei.
The program creates conditions for channeling remittances received from migrants to different sectors of the Chisinau economy, promotes innovation, technology and know-how transfer, and increases jobs and operating enterprises in Chisinau.
