As noted in the mayor’s office, as a result, 333 orders for animal capture were issued. At the same time, 1,446 animals were captured, sterilized and dewormed over the past period, and they were given full veterinary care.
Now there are 687 dogs in the care of the municipal animal shelter, which is 162 more than last year. At the same time this year, thanks to an information campaign, 164 dogs found owners.
The Mayor’s Office emphasizes the important role of volunteers, who actively participate in the work of the shelter, making donations in the form of food for animals and regular visits.
At the same time the problem of stray dogs continues to worry citizens. After all, only half of the captured and sterilized animals can stay in the shelter. The rest of the animals are released back on the street, some of them may remain aggressive.
