According to the SCCU, the exporter of scrap, as in the previous year, was the Ukrainian company D-Kamet LLC, which, under a contract with the Moldova Steel Works, sent to the unrecognized region of Moldova shipments of scrap in railway cars through the customs post “Dniester”.
According to the export documents, the country of destination of these shipments of scrap metal is indicated as the Republic of Moldova. However, the final place of delivery is the railway station Ribnitsa, located on the territory of unrecognized Transnistria.
At the same time, as previously reported there is a strategic deficit of scrap on the Ukrainian market. Moreover, after the outbreak of war and as a result of the destruction of industrial enterprises, the shortage of scrap metal for domestic needs began to grow rapidly. At the same time, the export of this strategic raw material is increasing quite rapidly.
