
According to the European Commission, the value of yogurt exported from Romania to third markets (outside the European Union) increased between January 1 and July 6, 2025 by 25.69% compared to the same period last year.
As of July 6 this year, Romanian yogurt shipments to countries outside the EU totaled 3,145.8 tons, their value reached 8.23 million euros, with an average price of 2.62 euros/kg.
Last year, from January 1 to July 6, the sales volume amounted to 2,599.5 tons, with a value of 6.55 million euros and an average price of 2.52 euros/kg.
In the first half of this year, the Republic of Moldova remained the most important trading partner in yogurt supplies for Romanian producers. The export of this product to the Moldovan market amounted to 2,160.2 tons, with a value of 5.88 million euros and an average price of 2.72 euros/kg.
The second place is occupied by Great Britain with 600.8 tons, worth 1.35 million euros, average price 2.24 euros/kg.
In third place is Serbia with 72.2 tons, worth €245,000, average price €3.22/kg.
Other buyers: Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, United Arab Emirates.
Last year, Romania’s yogurt exports to third markets amounted to 5419.5 tons, with a monetary value of 13.87 million euros and an average price of 2.56 euros/kg.
Over the last ten years, the average price of Romanian yogurt for exports has increased from 1.75 euros/kg to 2.56 euros/kg.
