SN Nuclearelectrica SA states that both reactors at this nuclear power plant are in a safe condition following the shutdown and are being maintained within safety parameters, without any operational risks or threats to national security. The company also reports that, depending on how forecasts develop for the coming period, it will notify the national power grid of an operational decision regarding the resumption of operations.
The Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant was shut down due to a drop in the water level of the Danube. Last week, reports emerged about a possible increase in water flow and that the issue of restarting the power unit might be considered.
