During the seminar, the conditions for granting subsidies and the amounts of the subsidies were explained, as well as the criteria for evaluating their effectiveness in the following areas of government support:

  • IS-OP-03 – improving production planning and adapting it to market demand, as well as financing technologies for adapting to climate change;
  • IS-C-05 – support for programs to improve product quality;
  • DR-01 – investments in crop production;
  • DR-09 – investments for young and beginning farmers;
  • DR-10 – investments for small farms and family farms.

As noted in the AIPA statement, “the agency highly values direct dialogue with producers and their organizations.” In this regard, the “Q&A” session proved particularly interesting and beneficial, during which the parties analyzed real-life situations faced by farmers in the process of establishing super-intensive perennial plantations. Discussions focused on the specifics of co-financing and official recognition of marketing groups in fruit growing, as well as investments in specialized systems to protect orchards and vineyards from hail and excessive rainfall.
