Leova’s Plans
The Leova City Hall intends to raise 9 million lei, which will be invested in the reconstruction and modernization of two courtyards in the city’s central district, located in five adjacent blocks with a total area of approximately 1.7 hectares.
The investment will include the development of this area—sidewalks, playgrounds, lighting, green spaces, street furniture, and road infrastructure. The investment is being carried out as part of a project for urban reconstruction and the development of public space infrastructure.
The issue consists of 9,000 bonds with a face value of 1,000 lei each, structured similarly into three classes: a 2-year term with a fixed interest rate of 9.5%, a 3-year term with a fixed interest rate of 10%, and a 4-year term with a floating interest rate.
As with previous municipal securities issuances, this issue is being carried out with the support of the Independent Analytical Center “Expert Grup” in partnership with the financial intermediary Victoriabank, as well as the Embassy of the Netherlands in Moldova.
As a reminder, municipal bonds issued by local governments in Moldova are used to finance capital investments or to refinance debt incurred during their implementation.
