According to the mayor’s office, the municipality has identified and designated 213 locations for water storage tanks and water distribution throughout all districts of the capital.

These include:

– 75 public locations;

– 108 kindergartens;

– 30 medical facilities;

as well as dozens of other strategically important sites.

In addition, the municipality has 253 cubic meters of water storage capacity, 20 water tankers, and 45 specialized vehicles at its disposal.

These resources make it possible to organize the transportation and distribution of water to the public, as well as to kindergartens, hospitals, and other socially significant institutions, according to city officials.

“Given the circumstances, we are doing everything possible to be fully prepared,” the mayor assures. “In addition to the work carried out over the past two weeks at the water intake station (in Vadul-lui-Vodă, ed.), we have prepared action plans and the necessary equipment.”

Earlier, Ion Ceban called for a meeting of the Supreme Security Council due to Ukraine’s reduced water releases from the Novodnestrovsk Reservoir and potential problems in the capital.

At the same time, as reported by Logos Press, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan announced the provision of high-capacity motor pumps to the capital’s municipality to boost the capacity of the water intake station in Vadul-lui-Vodă.
