In the first half of the 2025-26 marketing season, RM sunflower oil exports began to recover from last year’s sharp decline, Logos Press reported.

In July-October 2025, Moldova sent abroad 18.52 thousand tons of sunflower oil, which is almost four times more than in the same period last year (about 4.8 thousand tons), – reports Logos Press.

In the 2024-25 marketing season, sunflower oil exports from Moldova experienced a difficult period – an unprecedented decline in performance in all major categories.

Last month, the foreign trade turnover of sunflower oil in Moldova reached 1.65 thousand tons, worth 40.14 million lei, Logos Press reported.

In May 2025, the volume of sunflower oil imports to Moldova slightly exceeded 2 thousand tons (worth 54.9 million lei), while exports were 2.6 times lower than imports – 0.79 thousand tons (worth 17.3 million lei), – reports Logos Press.
