A record number of medals – 21 in total, including 5 gold and 16 silver – were awarded to the wines of the national brand “Vinul Moldovei” at the prestigious international sparkling wine competition “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles”, held in early September in Chisinau,” reports Logos Press.

At the fifth annual Moldovan Wine Festival in Bucharest, 49 winemaking companies from the Republic of Moldova presented a range of more than 300 wines, – reports Logos Press.

Moldovan wines were widely presented in the Netherlands at the Het Wijn Festijn festival in The Hague, where they enjoyed success with the local public.

At the XXIII “Vernissage of Wines”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the production of wines with protected geographical indication (IGP), a competition was announced for the best name for a Moldovan sparkling wine with an indication of origin that would represent terroir, reflect authenticity and become an international symbol.

Exports of Moldovan wine products in 2024 showed the best result in the last ten years, reaching $234.7 million, which is 22% more than in 2023. The lion’s share of revenues ($154 million) came from bottled wines and divines.

Despite the fact that exports of Moldovan wine products show growth against the background of a general decline in foreign sales, this does not mean that everything is fine for its producers. There are many problems, and they can affect not only the good reporting indicators.
