The Latvian parliament did not approve the opposition’s amendments to reduce VAT on energy resources to 5%, Logos Press reported.

Heating bills in Lithuania in January this year almost doubled compared to December, said Valdas Lukoskevičius, president of the Lithuanian Association of Heat Supply Providers, according to Logos Press.

Coins of 1 and 2 cents, which started to be withdrawn from circulation in Estonia from the beginning of 2025, are sent to Latvia within the framework of a mutually beneficial agreement between the central banks of the two countries, Logos Press reports.

Since September 1, 2025, new rules of entry into the Republic of Latvia for foreign citizens, including citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who do not have a visa or residence permit issued by the Latvian authorities, have come into force, – reports Logos Press with reference to the National Road Transport Agency of Moldova.
