The international festival of theater and film schools ClassFest Acting Lab- 2025 will be held in Chisinau from November 10 to 15 for the 14th time. The objectives of the organizer – Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (AMTAP) – are to promote contemporary art, exchange of experience between theatrical schools, as well as to encourage young actors who get the opportunity to present their best projects. This is the uniqueness of “ClassFest” for students and young people from Moldova.

The Maria Biesu International Festival of Opera and Ballet, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the diva, opened on September 14 with the opera “The Masquerade Ball” by G. Verdi. Its premiere took place in Chisinau in 1987. In fact, it was also premiered now – a performance restored in the original version by the Belarusian director Semyon Shtein in cooperation with the outstanding Russian-Moldavian artists Vyacheslav Okunev and Irina Press.

This year, five amateur folklore groups from Moldova participated in the XI International Forum “Bulgarian Heritage”, which is organized annually in the town of Balchik (Bulgaria) by the local organization “Commonwealth “Bulgarian Heritage” under the leadership of Marusi Kostova. It was held from August 22 to 24. The forum is attended by representatives of the Bulgarian diaspora living compactly abroad – amateur artists, scientists, writers and public figures from neighboring countries – Romania, Ukraine and Moldova, as well as from Bulgaria itself.

The festival “European Days of Jewish Culture” is taking place in Chisinau and Balti, with the theme “People of the Book,” Logos Press reports.

The new season at the Organ Hall will open on August 21 with an extraordinary concert. The outstanding Moldovan violinist Ilian Ghirnets and the National Chamber Orchestra under the baton of the chief conductor Cristian Florea will present an exclusive program preceding their participation in the George Enescu International Festival in Bucharest.

Moldovan wines were widely presented in the Netherlands at the Het Wijn Festijn festival in The Hague, where they enjoyed success with the local public.

The Chisinau City Hall will hold the “Chișinăul Sportiv 2025” festival for the third time and the capital’s authorities have allocated 1.2 million lei for its organization, Logos Press reported.
