Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has warned that Moldova could face a new energy crisis after a recent power outage, the damage from which has yet to be calculated, Logos Press reported.

The process of restoring power to the transmission system has been completed nationwide – all 110 kV electrical substations have received power, Logos Press reported.

Energy Minister Dorin Jungietu said that the process of restoring power supply is at an advanced stage, Logos Press reported.

Due to an emergency voltage drop in the national electricity system, caused by problems on the 400 kV Isaccea-Vulcanesti-MGRES high-voltage line, temporary disruptions in the operation of the district heating system were recorded in Chisinau,” Logos Press reported.
