After Moldova lost the right to use the name “Cahor” (in any spelling) in 2018, the production volume of this wine under the new name Pastoral rapidly decreased. On foreign markets, trade partners lost interest in the product under an unknown name. Accordingly, the main market for it became the home market.

The Cricova tourist complex won the Romanian Destination of the Year 2025 competition. This is the main project to promote tourism in Romania, which is traditionally held in Sibiu.
