The average increase for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons is 10% over the previous rates and applies to all drivers on Bulgaria’s national roads, including those transiting to Greece or Turkey.
For trucks and passenger vehicles, the increase will become more substantial and will be implemented in two stages. Drivers of trucks and vans transporting goods or passengers should be aware that road tolls will be increased:
– 10% – effective April 1, 2025;
– another 10% from September 1, 2025.
These fares are applied through the BGTOLL system, and for routes that cannot be monitored electronically, the maximum value is charged.
