Two more commemorative coins of the NBM put into circulation

From December 26, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) will put into circulation two new commemorative coins: "Petre Teodorovici - 75 years since his birth" and "80 years since the foundation of the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University named after Nicolae Testemitanu", - reports Logos Press.

Two more commemorative coins of the NBM put into circulation

As noted in the NBM information, the coin “Petre Teodorovici – 75 years since his birth” from the series “Personalities” is dedicated to the famous composer and entertainer, Honored Artist, awarded the Order “Gloria Muncii”.

From the same series, earlier, on December 1, 2025, the NBM put into circulation the commemorative coin “Queen Maria of Romania – 150 years since her birth”.

The coin “Petre Teodorovici – 75 years of birth” is minted in silver with a nominal value of 50 lei, with a mintage of 500 copies. The design was made by Eugeniu Boico.

The second coin from the series “Other” is issued in honor of the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the N. Testemitanu State Medical and Pharmaceutical University. The coin is also minted in silver with the nominal value of 50 lei, mintage of 1000 copies. The design was created by Svetlana Mynascurtă.

The coins are packed in a capsule made of transparent methacrylate and a gift box, accompanied by certificates of authenticity with a QR code. When scanned, it provides access to the website of the National Bank with information on the characteristics of the coin.

Jubilee coins are sold to the general public by the National Bank of Moldova both on the basis of applications submitted online in the “Coin” section of the institution’s website and through licensed banks of Moldova. They have the right to set independently the selling price of jubilee and commemorative coins, which may not exceed by more than 3% the level set by the NBM.
