The initiative involves amendments to the annex to the law regulating the list of agricultural lands publicly owned by the state.
According to the explanatory note, there are cemeteries in the city: the Old Cemetery, located in the central part and surrounded by private buildings, and the New Cemetery on the outskirts, which is almost completely full. Under these conditions, the possibilities for further expansion are limited.
The plot proposed for transfer is located in close proximity to the New cemetery and can be used for its expansion, which will create additional burial places and partially solve the existing problem at the local level.
The initiative does not involve additional expenditures from the state budget, but will result in a decrease in the value of state assets due to the removal of the site from state ownership. The project will be considered on Wednesday, May 6, at the meeting of the Commission on National Security, Defense and Public Order.
