The Commission for UNESCO is headed by Sergiu Mustiță

Sergiu Mustiata has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the Moldovan National Commission for UNESCO. He succeeds composer Constantin Rusnac, who has been promoting UNESCO values at the national and international level since 1993," Logos Press reported.

The Commission for UNESCO is headed by Sergiu Mustiță

During 32 years under the leadership of Konstantin Rusnac, the National Commission has realized many projects approved by UNESCO. Thanks to his efforts, extrabudgetary sources were attracted to the cultural sector and important international partnerships with donor organizations around the world were established, said Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan.

Sergiu Mustiatica’s appointment comes with high expectations and hopes to continue large-scale projects, expand international cooperation and develop new initiatives to support education, science, culture and heritage protection.

Sergiu Mustiata is a Doctor of History, Professor at the Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University in Chisinau. He is the author of numerous historical studies published in our country and abroad.
