The document provides for the abolition of the excessive tariff for the departure of the car to the sender for a distance of up to 5 km.

At the same time, the draft introduces clear tariff specifications for urgent deliveries outside the capital. Thus, for the urgent departure of a special courier to the sender or recipient outside the Chisinau municipality, an additional fee of 5 lei will be charged for each kilometer traveled. The same tariff of 5 lei per kilometer will be applied in the districts of the country in case of deviation from the established route by more than 5 km.

As for international correspondence, the legal act confirms that all related costs – including transportation, per diem and accommodation of the courier – are fully on the sender’s shoulders, to which the tariffs applicable to CIS countries will be added.

According to the explanatory memorandum, these changes are intended to create a fair tariff system that will cover the real costs incurred by the Bureau of Special Courier Services in performing its functions.
