“The current situation poses a threat to the phytosanitary condition of the country’s territory. In addition, the competent authority of Armenia did not take appropriate measures on previously identified violations,” Rosselkhoznadzor notes
As reported by Armenpressthe agency conducted inspections at Armenian enterprises from May 21 to May 27, 2026.
“A large volume of fruit and vegetable products is supplied by numerous Armenian companies engaged in foreign economic activities, the form of ownership of which, according to the Russian side, is unknown and which evade phytosanitary quarantine,” the agency writes.
