Cracking, i.e. cracking of grapes of fall varieties, is one of the most painful problems and reasons for the reduction of table grapes exports. Unfortunately, the recent precipitation almost everywhere in Moldova has activated the process of reducing the quality of this product, Logos Press reports.
On the grain market of Moldova, as well as in many regions of the world, a rare situation has occurred – the average price for barley has equaled or even exceeded the average price for wheat, including food wheat, – reports Logos Press.

There are about 16 thousand hectares of table grapes in Moldova, of which about 1 thousand hectares are planted under the intensive pergola system.
The FAO Meat Price Index averaged 128.0 points in August 2025, up 0.7 points (0.6%) from July and 5.9 points (4.9%) from a year ago. According to the conclusions of the organization’s experts, this is a new historical maximum, Logos Press reported.
